Can We Start Over?

A historic day… the inauguration of the 44th U.S. President, Barack H. Obama. This particular screen capture off my iPhone is the moment when Chief Justice John Roberts botched the oath by switching the words around. Apparently, this was the 3rd time in history this has occurred (and I’m sure not the last).

I watched the majority of the event via HD broadcast on PBS (they had the best signal), but also watched on my iPhone. Yup, a streaming broadcast via CNN and Ustream.tv… delivered to my 1G iPhone via WiFi. What a great proof-of-concept.

Sprint Mobile Broadband

Here are my test results while sitting on the train (NJ Transit Pascack Valley Line, River Edge, NJ Station) using Sprint Mobile Broadband on my MacBook Pro (Mac OS X 10.5.6 and Qualcomm U680 modem).

And while moving through Hackensack, NJ:

A far cry from my FiOS speeds/latency, but not bad for mobile.
