Project 365 – Day 110

Spring is Here

Spring is Here

Yup, spring is here… and so are my allergies. This is a shot of the causeway in Woodcliff Lake, NJ. Shame there was no blue sky for this.

Shot with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3 and post processed in Adobe Lightroom 2.3.

Project 365 – Day 30

Say Hello to my Little Friend

Say Hello to my Little Friend

I managed to get out for a little bit of exercise today… nothing fancy, just a brisk 2.5 mile walk in my neighborhood (Woodcliff Lake/Park Ridge). On my route I usually pass by the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 8946. They have an old WWII Jeep and an M114 Howitzer out front and I’ve always wanted to photograph them.

This pic was shot with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3 and post-processed in Adobe Lightroom and DxO FilmPack. The stark contrast (and “film grain”, which can be seen if viewed at the larger sizes) is Kodak Tri-X 400. I used to shoot and develop with that film a lot in my early photo days and miss it quite a bit. It’s amazing how DxO can recreate the look of so many different types of film. Awesome software.
